It will be rolled-out at the strip of restaurants across the road from the Bedfordview Police Station.

“The parking attendants have already been vetted and fingerprints were taken. The attendants with clear criminal records will be issued a red vest,” said Henry.

He said the red vest will have a number with an ID card along with their names and ID number on it.

Henry said that this is to prevent theft from around the area from beggars acting as parking attendants.

BCPF has funded the vests from donations they have received from the community.

“We hope to roll it out over other non-regulated parking attendants, but not at centres where there are employed security companies,” said Henry.
