The Sebenza SAPS Community Policing Forum (CPF) chairman, Andrew Mosesi, was recently elected as the new Ekurhuleni North Cluster chairperson.

Mosesi said he was humbled by the appointment and looking forward to performing his new duties.
He said the previous cluster CPF board was dissolved and he was elected new chairperson. Six other people will work with him on the new board.
Roles and responsibilities of community police cluster boards include the following:
• Troubleshooting in problematic police stations with the SAPS.
• Ensure the functionality of the CPF.
• Identify provincial crime challenges and develop an implementable plan of action.
• Table a report on the state of community policing to the provincial secretariat, MEC and head of department on a quarterly basis.
• Account to the legislature on community policing relations in the province.
