The presentation will follow the MCS annual general meeting which begins at the Modderfontein Town Hall, 1 Casino Road at 7.30pm on Thursday, March 15.

LepSoc Africa chairperson Jeremy Dobson will be the speaker.

His talk will highlight the fascinating world of Afrotropical butterflies and moths and dispel the myth that butterfly enthusiasts are just a weird species who gambol about the veld waving their nets in wild abandon.

Dobson will talk on various species, their habits and habitats and the extensive work LepSoc Africa undertakes in the study and conservation of butterflies.

Visitors are welcome to attend the meeting, learn about the MCS and enjoy the colourful photo presentation.
