UPDATE: Motorbike rider dies on Modderfontein Road after crash
The motorbike rider sustained fatal injuries and was declared dead at the scene.
A motorbike rider was killed and seven others sustained injuries ranging from minor to serious after a taxi and motorbike collided on Modderfontein Road at the intersection of Greenstone drive in Greenstone Hill this morning.
When paramedics arrived on the scene before 7am, they found some of the patients from the taxi walking around on the scene. Upon further assessment, paramedics found seven patients who sustained minor to serious injuries.
A male motorbike rider was found lying a few metres away from his motorbike. He sustained fatal injuries and was declared dead at the scene.

ER24, and other medical services transported the patients to hospital for further medical care.
The exact details surrounding the incident were not yet known.
