Rotary club gives hope to abandoned babies

Mr and Mrs Scholtz from El Shamah House provided Rotary Members with a presentation about the work their organisation does with regards to the abandoned babies at their home

The Bedfordview Rotary Club recently hosted members from EL-Shammah House for abandoned babies.

Allistair and Merencia Scholtz were the guest speakers at the weekly meeting held on February 22.

The meeting took place at the Belgravia Bowling Club.

Mr and Mrs Scholtz did a presentation about the work the organisation does with regards to the abandoned babies at their home.

EL-Shamman House was started eight years ago.

Seen here are Allistair and Merencia Scholtz, Filippa Heyneke and president of the club, Allan Rock.

Its main purpose is to care for babies aged from birth to two years old.

The motto the couple use at El-Shammah House is ‘unlocking hope’.

Their passion is to ensure that each abandoned baby has the building blocks for a happy and healthy life after adoption.
