AACL in desperate need of assistance

“We are in a desperate situation and need residents to adopt animals.”

Community members in search of a new pet are encouraged to share the love this month and adopt from the Animal Anti-Cruelty League (AACL).

With 302 animals, the AACL shelter is nearing capacity.

“We are in a desperate situation and need residents to adopt animals,” said Heather Cowie, public relations officer for AACL Johannesburg.

She said the shelter receives numerous animals on a daily basis.

Having so many animals takes its toll on the organisation.

“We rely solely on donations, with so many animals our budget is being depleted,” said Heather.

To adopt animals from the ACCL call 011 435 0672.

AACL Johannesburg is situated at 59 Alice Street, Regents Park.
