Forty-eight undocumented individuals were arrested and 20 suspects were arrested on drug-related charges.

While conducting the operations, police officers prioritised on crime hot spots and information received from the community.

“Finding and confiscating illegal firearms, drugs and stolen property were the main objectives of the operations,” said Olckers.

Because of the high number of undocumented individuals arrested, Olckers urged the community to exercise caution when employing someone.

“It is an offense to employ a person who does not have the correct paperwork,” he said.
