Soccer clinic hosted by Olympia coach a success

“Giving back to the community has always been close to my heart.”

One hundred young soccer enthusiasts were recent granted the opportunity to hone their soccer skills at the Luis Pinho Soccer Clinic.

The clinic, which was held at Skeen Primary School, gave children from Alexandra the opportunity to learn and improve their soccer skills.

Pinho, a coach at Olympia Football Club (OFC) hosted the event with The Good News Foundation on November 18.

Coaches and parents from OFC assisted on the day.

Michelle Modisakeng from the Good News Foundation provided food and drink to the young soccer stars.

At the clinic, children worked on ball skills and played friendly games.

“Giving back to the community has always been close to my heart,” said Pinho.

Pinho said it was a morning of fun and learning for the children.

“The opportunity to work with the children is always a humbling experience”, said Pinho.

Pinho said he looks forward to more clinics in 2018 as he plans on hosting four soccer clinics at Skeen Primary.
