Bedfordview SAPS has identified the victim of the September 12 shooting as Ivan Djordjevic.
Captain Andre de Jager said no arrests related to the shooting have been made and Bedfordview SAPS is investigating a case of attempted murder.

“The motive for the shooting and the suspects involved are unknown at this point,” said de Jager.
When the NEWS spoke to de Jager on September 15, he said the victim was still in hospital and was in a stable condition.
Djordjevic (57), who is a Bryanston resident, was shot four times in the parking area of KFC Bedfordview near Bedford Centre.
“Four bullets fired from a 9mm gun, hit the man,” said de Jager.

He said an unknown number of suspects fled in a white Volkswagen Caddy.
Djordjevic was rushed to hospital by ER24 where he was operated on, on September 12.
When police conducted a search of his car, they found a bag filled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
De Jager said nothing had been taken from Djordjevic’s car.

He urged anyone with information about the shooting to contact the Bedfordview SAPS on 011 457 2299 and ask to speak to branch commander Lieutenant Colonel Maluleke.
