Tips – Prevent crime

"Community members should report all crimes and work together with the police by taking note of these tips."

To reduce crime and ensure the safety of community members the Edenvale SAPS encourages residents to make use of the following crime tips.

Captain Jean Olckers, spokesperson for the Edenvale SAPS, said by using these tips crime can be reduced.

• When parking your car remove all valuables from the vehicle or put them out of sight.

• When in shops or in shopping centres keep an eye on your handbag and your belongings.

• While withdrawing money at an ATM be alert and ensure you are not being followed once you have drawn your money.

“Community members should report all crimes and work together with the police by taking note of these tips,” said Olckers.
