Buckle up your pets

Humans and children buckle up in cars and so should pets.

Animals are easily excited by things that move and therefore they love to chase things.

Humans and children buckle up in cars and so should pets.

Vehicle accidents can cause pets to sustain spinal and hip injuries and in some cases they may not survive.

While pets love car rides it is our responsibility to keep them safe during the journey.

Sharleen Thoma from Mystical Pawprints in Edenvale said her dog Pepa jumped out of a moving car but was miraculously uninjured.

“Today she goes nowhere without being buckled up in her seatbelt,” says Sharleen.

Just like children, pets should never be left unattended or kept leashed in a vehicle, as they too can suffer dehydration and unhealthy stress.

Mystical Pawprints takes pet safety seriously and to celebrate this are offering a 10 per cent discount on all pet safety gear.

Mystical Pawprints is also ‘paw’ing it forward by collecting pet food donations for the SPCA as well as Pet Rescue South Africa.
