Knapp’s knack for boxing pays off

Edenvale’s Roarke Knapp (18) is a passionate professional boxer.
He started training with Team Sweat Box and coach Domenico Spirito two years ago.
Both boxer and coach have since put in many hours of training and Roarke was able to start his amateur fighting career last year.
He participated in four fights, of which he won three by technical knockout (TKO). His fourth fight went the full distance and Roarke was announced as the winner on points.
The young fighter was then granted his professional licence and took part in another four fights.
Three of the fights he won by TKO while the fourth, which took place on March 25 in Kempton Park, he won on a sixth round points decision.
