New Khanyisa manager ready to serve

She was Mrs Kelly's assistant centre manager for six years.

The incoming manager of the Khanyisa Trust, Ms Dipuo Tekana, said she is ready to take the Trust to new heights.

Ms Tekana took over the reins on January 9 following her predecessor Mrs Shirley Kelly’s retirement.

The NEWS caught up with her during Mrs Kelly’s celebrations at the centre.

Ms Tekana said she was looking forward to her role as centre manager.

“Every morning I wake up ready to make a difference in people’s lives. I do what I do because my love for people would not allow me to stay away,” said Ms Tekana.

She left her career in finance to join Khanyisa.

She was Mrs Kelly’s assistant centre manager for six years.

Ms Tekana said she has a passion for counselling.

“My role at Khanyisa will allow me to touch as many lives as I can while making a difference. I am more than honoured to be able to serve under this ministry. I cannot wait to fulfil my calling,” said Ms Tekana.
