Jeppe Boys sport teams bring home victories.

The Jeppe team, which took part in the championships, won with a time that broke the course record by 12 seconds.

The weekend of January 28 was a busy weekend for Jeppe High School for Boys, with various sporting teams competing in Johannesburg and the province.

Some of the notable performances of the weekend came from the school’s new grade 8 learners.

The school’s U/14A cricket team beat Afrikaanse Hoër Seunskool (Affies) by three wickets, while the U/14 water polo team were runners-up at the Crawford Lonehill tournament.

In the cricket match the U/14’s bowled Affies out for 79 runs.

In the water polo tournament, Jeppe beat Crawford College 3-2 in the quarterfinals and then defeated Grey College 14-7 in the semifinals before losing in the final game.

Beside water polo and cricket over the weekend, the Jeppe Boys rowing team took part in the VLC National Sprint Championships at Germiston Lake.
