St Benedict’s excels in maths

Gavin Li was the school's top Core Mathematics student with 100% for maths.

St Benedict’s has consistently achieved outstanding results for Mathematics fulfilling its vision to prepare learners to take part in the world economy. The school aims to maximise the number of learners matriculating with Core Maths; with each boy achieving their potential.

Part of the school’s success is rooted in its growing Advanced Programme Mathematics (AP Maths) course with 52 learners writing this subject in 2016.

101 St Benedict’s candidates completed the IEB Core Maths papers, 52 candidates achieved A’s and the subject average was 76.1% which is above the IEB average of 67.36%. Gavin Li was the school’s top Core Mathematics student with 100% for maths.
