WATCH: Youngsters plead for sports grounds to stay

Young Jordan Beiling from Edenvale Football Club said, "If you take away the sports grounds, where do you think the children who go there (now), will go? They are just going to land up on the streets and do drugs."

Edenvale youngsters added their voice to the “hands of our fields” movement in Edenvale at Saturday’s publication participation meeting to discuss the proposed lease of Edenvale Sports Grounds to a third party.

Young Jordan Beiling from Edenvale Football Club said, “If you take away the sports grounds, where do you think the children who go there (now), will go? They are just going to land up on the streets and do drugs.”

Another youngster said, “We do not need development. We need sponsorship.”
