Bowling club prepares for twilight bowls
The club has invited all registered bowlers to participate and to submit their entries as soon as possible to book green space.
The Edenvale Bowling Club will run a Twilight Bowls Competition for four weeks from October 28.
The club has invited all registered bowlers to participate and to submit their entries as soon as possible to book green space.
Twilight bowls is popular because temperatures are dropping when bowling commences at 5pm and the players can look forward to a social drink and a light meal after each session.
Book your meal in advance by putting your name on the notice board, or order from the bar menu on the night.
Each team shall consist of three bowlers; male, female, mixed and the entry fee is R240 per team in total for the four consecutive Friday sessions.
Each session will consist of two games of 10 ends and to add interest, each skip has an opportunity to call a power play for one end in each set of five when their team’s score for that end is double. Losers can become winners by leapfrogging.
