Shene wins Look of Fashion

The young Boksburg High School pupil could not believe it as she was crowned on Friday night, October 16.

18-year-old Shene Kruger won the 2015 Eastgate Look of Fashion title.

The young Boksburg High School pupil could not believe it as she was crowned on Friday night, October 16.

“I’m speechless. I don’t know what to say. I’m still in shock. It has been tough being in the competition with all the charity work we did and the practicing we did, but all of it was worth it.

“I had the opportunity to discover things I did not know about myself and I learnt that if I push myself hard enough, I can reach my full potential,” said Shene.

Shene’s prizes include a trip to Italy where she will participate in the 2016 Stella da Europa.

20-year-old Ntombikayise Msimanga, a Ba Law Student, was crowned the first princess with 18-year-old Kirsten Tayla McCormack, an engineering student, taking second princess.

The three girls were the crowd’s favourites and evidently they were also the judges’ favourites.

“I’m happy to be crowned first princess. When I entered, I wanted people to see that beauty can go with brains. I’m a student but at the same time I’m a woman who loves beautiful things and fashion. The Eastgate Look of Fashion was the perfect platform for me to celebrate that,” said Ntombikayise.

“The Look of Fashion has provided me with the best time of my life. The girls I met here were all amazing and I’m happy to be crowned second princess,” said Tayla.
