A teenage boy was taken into police custody on Monday night after he was caught with two stolen phones.
Reaction officers from Mamba Strike Force initiated the arrest of the 16 year old after he was seen running through streets in Harmelia with a resident chasing him.
It is believed the boy entered the resident’s house and was spotted.
When the resident tried questioned him, the child fled.
According to information received, the boy confessed to reaction officers that he had broken into the same house a week earlier and had stolen two phones as well as a mini Hi-Fi system.
Investigations into the matter will continue this week.
