Painting landscapes with oils
Ms van Wyk demonstrated a textured landscape using oil paints during the demonstration.
Nelspruit-born painter Ms Monique van Wyk, from Paint Basket in Boksburg, was the artist in the spotlight when the Paint and Palette demonstration took place at the Edenvale Community Centre on Saturday, June 21.
Ms van Wyk employs various styles in her artwork, which include oils, pastels, ink, acrylic, pencil, and digital manipulation photography.
Ms van Wyk demonstrated a textured landscape using oil paints during the demonstration.
“I have a special love for working with texture paste as this gives me ample expression in my works,” said Ms van Wyk.
The Paint and Palette demonstration also featured displayed of work from painter Ms Judith Erusmas.
Paint and Palette demonstrations cost R50. Alternatively, residents can also become a member of the club.
