It follows hot on the heels of his previous song, Iskhalo [a cry], an anti-drug abuse song that seeks to heal those already ravaged by the scourge of drugs and implores those wanting to go in the same direction never to. “It’s a cry from our grannies and mothers who are heartbroken to see their children and grandchildren in that sorry state of affairs,” Egugenious said.

His latest single, Khululeka, which means ‘believe in the power of prayer’, features Kac Queen.
Speaking to Alex News about the song, Eugenious said it’s Afropop or dancehall and was produced by Youngkissbeatz and Master Kynd. He encourages the youth to pin all their dreams, hopes and aspirations in the power of faith and prayer.

“It also talks about staying on track with the thing that you wanna achieve in life and never being side-tracked by unsavory elements. Keep the dream fires burning and stay focused. Keep pushing the hustle spirit all the time.”

Eugenious said he simply calls the song Khululeka because it overflows with messages of hope and belief – the power it has in saving many lives that could easily go to waste or fall by the wayside.

“I am literally saying to the youth they must not allow yesterday’s struggles to block their way to success and stardom. I trust they will enjoy it and embrace the positive message it offers and a promise of a better tomorrow.”
