Minerva High School learner makes music waves in Alexandra

A Thembisa-born Alex songbird Kgotlello 'Sayza' Machoga, who is making waves with his music in the township, hopes to continue hanging in there until he breaks into the international limelight in the hope of making it big.

For those who might be wondering who is Kgotlello Simon Machoga, better known by his stage name ‘Sayza’ – he is an Alex songbird born in Thembisa but his parents moved with him to Alexandra when he was only two years old.

He started his primary education from grades R to 7 at Skeen Primary School after which he went to Queens High School in Bruma Lake for grades 8 up to 10 before moving back to the township at Minerva High School where he is currently in Grade 11.

Kgotlello Simon Machoga, better known by his stage name ‘Sayza’, hopes to one day make it big in the music industry.

“I discovered my talent in music at the age of 11 while listening to a radio station that was playing the kwaito music genre and immediately developed my love for music,” Sayza told Alex News.
“Since then, I have never looked back as I launched my own music career with the first recording at the age of 16, with my friends. I have over the years managed to release a few
single tracks and two albums which can be found on digital platforms only,” he added.

Sayza said he is not signed with any record label but works closely with Sharing is Caring Entertainment on a freelance basis which assists him in marketing his music and shows.
