Faces of Pond’s ambassadors chosen

JOBURG – Selecting the three Faces of Pond’s was no small feat, says Sphelele Mjadu.

The three winners of the Faces of Pond’s competition Natasha Shoniwa, Sinovuyo Magwebu and Rumer Manis will take over the reins from the 2019 winner, Nomfundo Mlaba as brand ambassadors who will represent Pond’s for 2021/2022.

Over and above the opportunity to work with the global brand, the winners will each walk away with a cash prize of R25 000, a full tech starter kit to the value of R20 000 to further their studies, career or start-up business and one year’s supply of Pond’s products.

They will have exclusivity to attend all Pond’s events, launches, product releases, and masterclasses, whether virtual or in-person (subject to Covid-19 restrictions).

Alexandra was represented by Mpho Molutsi who only managed to make it to the Top 20 of the competition which was canned in 2020 as a result of the outbreak of Covid-19 and the subsequent lockdown of the country.

“Selecting the three Faces of Pond’s was no small feat. However, introducing in-depth mentorship sessions with phenomenal public figures elevated the competition to new levels,” said Sphelele Mjadu, Unilever’s beauty and personal care lead in Africa.
