Renowned hip-hop music artist Jovislash releases 13-track debut album

FAR EAST BANK – Jovislash says he considers himself blessed that he was able to work with HHP, Flabba and Pro Kid.

Alexandra’s hip-hop artist, comedian and radio host, Thuso Mogotsi also known as ‘Jovislash’ has released his debut album.

Jovislash said his 13-track album Declared and Decreed is dedicated to the late hip-hop stars Jabulani ‘HHP’ Tsambo, Nkululeko ‘Flabba’ Habedi and Linda ‘ProKid’ Mkhize. “This album is very close to my heart, it is a token of appreciation to my late heroes, HHP, Flabba and Pro Kid who played a huge role in my music journey. I grew up listening and idolising these hip-hop titans and they inspired me to enter the music industry and also contributed to shaping and sharpening my music talent,” he explained.

“Through hard work and belief, I ended up working with rappers of all times and had the privilege of spending time with them during their last days. They all had one thing in common which they taught me – respect for others and humbleness. I will forever cherish their teachings and pass it to the younger generation in the music industry.”

Through this project I hope to inspire hope, entertain and spread positive spirit to music lovers. Declared and Decree was made out of love and passion for music. I hope listeners and music lovers will appreciate and enjoy it.”
