Local hip-hop upcoming artist drops a hit single ahead of his matric results

OBSERVATORY – Sleazy describes his music as a vibrant combination of rap and hip-hop that rejuvenates and revives energy to those who find themselves still trapped in the past winter season.

A local upcoming hip-hop and rap music artist, songwriter and model, Simamkele ‘Sleaze’ Mahambehlala, recently released his first debut single titled Sawce which he describes as a heat wave for music lovers this festive season.

Mahambehlala from Observatory, north-east of Johannesburg, developed the love for music and art at the tender age of six. He said he was a born musician and getting exposed to music at such a young age when he used to attend music festivals with his parents, sparked his interest to know more about music.

He described his music as a vibrant combination of rap and hip-hop that rejuvenates and revives energy to those who find themselves still trapped in the past winter season.

“I was born a musician and I have a responsibility to use the gift that God gave me to entertain the nation and the world to the fullest. I grew up in a family that loves and understands music.

“I started attending music events with my parent who are in PR and events management industry at a very young age and that offered me an opportunity to meet different people in the music industry.

“Every time I met artists at the events I would ask them critical questions about the music industry to get more insight about its realities.”

In less than a month after it was released, his single track received more than 2 500 live streams and downloads on different digital platforms.

“I am amazed and humbled by the response that this song has received from music lovers and the general public. I did this song in studio while I was busy with my matric exam preparation and I had to balance my time between the two priorities.”

Mahambehlala has promised his music lovers another hit single before the end of this year as a Christmas gift.

His music is available on all digital music platforms for downloads and live streaming.
