Revealing the XE with art

Jaguar commissioned hyper-realistic paintings of the new XE sedan with which it revealed the new vehicle to the world. It took British artist, Howard Lee, 140 hours to paint the three paintings in the series.

“I’ve drawn everything from hyper-real clothing and food but this is the first time I’ve drawn a car. The new Jaguar XE has these pure lines and perfectly judged proportions which were really enjoyable to recreate. They really bring this car to life, even when it is just static on a piece of paper.” Howard Lee, Artist

The front and rear bumpers have received larger air intakes while the front of the vehicle features a redesigned grille and slim in shape, all-LED lights. On the inside, Jaguar incorporated the Touch Pro Duo infotainment system and a 12.3-inch digital display in place of a traditional instrument panel.  The XE features head-up-display, wireless charging and cabin air ionisation for the driver and occupants.

Also found on the interior is a ClearSight rear-view mirror which gives the driver an unobstructed view of what is behind the vehicle. The Jaguar XE is expected to be available in the second half of 2019 with pricing to be announced closer to the time.
