Local upcoming artist speaks through sound and beats

ALEXANDRA – Mashaba described his music as a contemporary deep house which can listen to by any music lover.


The local upcoming music artist, DJ and music producer Dyondzani ‘Man D’ Mashaba from 17th Avenue will release his mixtape in September this year.

Inspired by the likes of DJ Back Coffee, the 22-year-old Central Johannesburg College (CJC) information technology graduate and professional photographer started creating music in 2016.

He has since released three singles titled Parasites, Moonlight, and Mali in which he worked with local artists like Syabonga ‘AsiyaKing’ Nkosi and Quick King.

Mashaba described his music as a contemporary deep house which can be listen to by any music lover. “I don’t make a song for the sake of releasing something. I speak and convey the message to every listener, young and old. I want to inspire young aspiring artists and encourage them to keep on pushing. Music is the universal language that can be easily understood by everyone and it can be utilised to spread the gospel of love,” Mashaba said.

The rising star said his three previous singles are available on all digital music platforms and his first full album is expected to be released next year.
