Seven7 Drive kicks off in KIA Grand Sedona

Tomorrow the Leisure Wheels magazine staff and other members of the media will set off at KIA Motors Centurion, the Drive will visit numerous KIA dealerships to collect gifts and deliver them to children suffering from cancer in Polokwane, Upington, Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, George, Bethlehem, and Nelspruit.

Started in 2015, the Seven7 Drive originally took place over seven days, driving 7000 km through seven countries. This year, the marathon drive will cover 6000 km within the borders of South Africa to raise awareness of childhood cancer and to raise funds for Cupcakes of Hope.

At the end of the seven days, the drive will conclude at the paediatric oncology department at Steve Biko Academic Hospital.  Showing their support, KIA motors are supplying the 2.2-litre, four-cylinder, turbodiesel powered Grand Sedonas. All funds raised will go to the Cupcakes of Hope organisation.

“We are delighted to support the Drive for the fourth consecutive year and remain inspired by the passion of the Drive’s organisers and the fighting spirit of the kids we meet on the way. Providing the vehicles for Seven7 Drive is but the small way in which we give back to society.” says Christo Valentyn, Brand Marketing and Communications Manager for KIA Motors South Africa.
