Steve Kekana live in concert at Joburg Theatre for two shows only

JOHANNESBURG – Legendary South African singer Steve Kekana will perform a two-hour concert at Joburg Theatre.

Ikusasa Arts Development Projects will host local music legend Steve Kekana, live in concert, for two shows only.

The show, Iphupho the Dream, will take place on the Mandela Stage at Joburg Theatre on 29 April at 7pm and 30 April at 1pm.

Kekana will deliver an unforgettable two-hour show of pure local nostalgia, including all his hits from 1978 to date.

He has lived with a disability since losing his eyesight at the age of five, however, this has never let this stand in his way of fulfilling his dreams.

The concert aims to entertain and inspire people living with disabilities or facing various challenges which may be regarded as stumbling blocks towards fulfilling their dreams.

Kekana will perform with Joe Nina who he previously collaborated with on his hit song, Iphupho. The show will also feature Sipho ‘Hotstix’ Mabuse singing his all-time classic, Burn Out.

Multi-Grammy award winners Ladysmith Black Mambazo will also make a guest appearance and pay special tribute to Kekana.

Kekana has more than 20 albums to his name and is one of the few artists who has managed to cross over from different genres including mbhaqanga, pop, gospel and soul.
