Dezry Kay releases her latest single and movie

Desire Karabo Kekana, or Dezry Kay as she is affectionately known, is currently taking South Africa by storm.

The Limpopo artist was born into the Kekana royal family in Polokwane and is soaring to the top of local radio charts, dominating airwaves on almost every station. The 25-year-old, who is the daughter of the popular AfroJazz genre legend, Mama Winnie Kekana and award-winning singer, Frans Kekana, is following in the footsteps of her parents and is set to entertain the country with her catchy music and acting skills.

Kekana’s latest single, Light up the Night, is currently playlisted on over 60 local radio stations from SABC radio to commercial, community and campus stations.

Her recent hit single, Kgoshigadi, was released under her own record label, DK Media and Promotions. As if that’s not enough, Kekana is set to release her new movie, Deleterious, which is set to hit the big screens at the end of March.

No stranger to acting, Kekana has bagged roles in the ever popular series, Getroud Met Rugby, as screened on KykNet, as well as Scandal on e.tv. She was the lead actress on two Mzansi Magic productions, Pushy Passion and Ke mang, as well as the presenter of It’s For Life on SABC2.

Kekana shows no signs of slowing down and is definitely a woman to watch out for.
