Vote for me to win, asks Alex’s own Miss SA semi-finalist

JOBURG – Boipelo Mabe went on a charm offensive to woo Pholosho Junior Secondary School schoolchildren to vote for her and also encourage their families and friends to do the same.

Alexandra’s own Miss South Africa 2017 semi-finalist, Boipelo Mabe, has appealed to her community and fans to cast their cellphone votes to put her on the winning pedestal.

She was addressing schoolchildren of Pholosho Junior Secondary School as part of her community outreach programme and also to drum up support for her quest to conquer Miss SA 2017 and bring the crown home.

“I appeal to you to vote for me and tell all your friends, family and other relations to do the same for the sake of our township, which I hope to put on the map once I am crowned the most beautiful woman in South Africa,” she said.

The children responded by shouting, ‘Boipelo Mabe for Miss SA 2017’, which was an assurance and confidence-boost for the young woman who has already been dubbed by the students as a Miss SA 2017 in waiting.

She needs as many votes as possible to enable her to be among the top 12 contestants, with the entrant who raises the most votes automatically going into the next round of the competition.

Mabe (23), born in Alex, matriculated at Sandringham High School in 2011. She holds a BA undergraduate degree in politics and international relations and a post-graduate honours degree in development studies. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in international relations.

If you would like to see Mabe in the next round of the Cell C-sponsored contest, where crowning takes place in April next year, SMS 02 to 45791 and your vote could send her to the next round.

Voting closes on 13 January next year.
