BREAKING NEWS: Wits student leader arrested
Braamfontein – Former Wits SRC president Mcebo Dlamini has been arrested.
Former Wits SRC president Mcebo Dlamini has been arrested at a Wits student res at around 2am on 16 October.
Dlamini has been taken to Cleaveland police station.
Details are sketchy as to the reason for his arrest, but some reports suggest that it is in connection with the assault of a police officer.
The arrest was confirmed by Wits senior communications officer Shirona Patel who could only confirm that Dlamini was arrested on Wits premises.
Advocate Dali Mpofu is reportedly in communication with Dlamini.
