Reason to perform at Totalsports Women’s Race

JOBURG – Run breast cancer out of town with the Totalsports Womens Race

Hip-hop sensation, Sizwe ‘Reason’ Moeketsi  will close off the Totalsports Women’s Race celebrations at the Mary Fitzgerald Square.

On Tuesday 9 August, also known as National Women’s Day, women from across Gauteng will take to the streets and run for a great cause – the PinkDrive, which raises awareness about breast cancer.

The event is set to begin and end at Mary Fitzgerald Square where local rap star, Reason, will await the arrival of race finishers and treat them to an exciting musical performance.

“Any event that brings people together to fight their biggest fears and challenges needs our support,” said Reason.

“PinkDrive needs our support. We have to get involved for the greater good. I am really looking forward to playing my part. Although I like to keep my set a secret, Endurance is the one song that runners can definitely look forward to hearing.

“Considering the race, the cause and the message that we want to bring across, it is more than fitting. Runners can look forward to a great reward at the end of the race.”

Totalsports is excited to have the influential and, sometimes controversial, rapper on board to support the cause and the runners. “Reason is a cutting edge and creative artist,” Charmaine Claasens, head of marketing at Totalsports, commented.

“He has had one of South Africa’s best-rated albums and has won multiple awards in the last couple of years. His energy and charisma will have the audience on their feet, singing along to his music.

“What better way to entertain and reward Totalsports Women’s Race entrants on National Women’s Day?”

The mothers, daughters, grandmothers and friends taking part in the race will be treated to an exciting show to celebrate National Women’s Day, a great workout and some much-needed enlightenment about the serious disease that is breast cancer.

Sign up now and don’t miss out on the action.
