Beat wrinkles naturally

JOHANNESBURG – Anti-aging home remedies are both cost effective and natural.

A cosmetic chemist based in Sandton, Candice Kalil, is a firm believer in that beauty should not come at an exorbitant cost.

Many of her clients ask how they could beat their wrinkles naturally and cost effectively. Kalil said, “Reach for some eggs, separate the yolk from the whites and apply the protein-rich whites to your face for a few minutes. Rinse with warm water and you will find your skin feeling tighter and firmer.”

Kalil said that paw-paw pips are rich in antioxidants. “Take a handful, blend with some rosewater and apply on your face. Leave the mixture on your face for a few minutes and then rinse off. This can be used all over the neck and eye area as well and your skin will look revived and refreshed.”

Lemon and pineapple can be used to remove dead skin and she said that they can also be used to remove marks and blemishes.

“Remember the only way to keep yourself looking younger is to stay out of the harsh rays of the sun. Ultraviolet rays from the sun damage your skin and can cause skin cancer. If you go out in the sun, always remember to use an effective sunscreen and you should do this every day. The African sun is harmful throughout the year, even in the winter months,” stressed Kalil.

“Look after your skin as it gives away your age. Look after it and you will always look younger than you are.”
