Sensation Slava Snowshow swirls on stage

JOBURG – For the first time, the multi-award winning critically acclaimed international sensation, Slava’s Snowshow will be performed at the Teatro Montecasino from 26 July to 14 August.

You’ll be catapulted back to your childhood as Slava’s Snowshow takes you on a spontaneous interactive and entertaining journey under a snowy blanket.

The show has been going for years and is unmistakably unique, yet constantly evolving. The comedy has played to millions of people across the globe in more than 120 cities and has been lauded as a theatre classic of the 20th century by The Times in London. The show’s creator, Slava Polunin is praised as the most illustrious clown in the world.

Now, if clowns aren’t your thing, you might want to give it a skip, but if you can push past the fear, it’s a must-see. It’s a dream-like experience … a bed becomes a boat in a storm-tossed sea; a woman is wrapped in cellophane and becomes flowers in a vase; a child walks in amazement inside a bubble; Slava boards a train and then becomes the train and so much more, all happening while delicate snow falls onto the stage.

You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and you won’t want to leave the theatre when the curtain falls.

Showtime Management’s Tony Feldman said, “<ct:Italic>Slava’s Snowshow<ct:> is a unique piece of theatre that is difficult to pigeonhole in one genre. It is comedic, tragic, dramatic and will take the audience out of their day-to-day world and transport them to a beautiful, dazzling, enchanting place that will bring out your inner child.

“It is an unmissable theatrical feast and Showtime is proud to be bringing the show to South African audiences.”

Tickets range from R175 to R400 per person, depending on which day you choose to see the show.
