The Venture winner to be announced in Sandton
JOBURG – Renowned whisky brand, Chivas Regal, will once again announce the 2015 South African winner of their global social entrepreneurship initiative, The Venture, next week.
The announcement will take place at the Inanda Polo Club and will see one of the five finalists, namely I’m Not Plastic, Mama Mimi’s, Safe and Sound, Connectmed and CrashDetech. win a share of $1 million (R15 814 343) in funding for their business.
The Venture, now in its second edition, has seen entries from over 25 countries including Poland, Panama and Peru and focuses on finding and helping aspiring social entrepreneurs who want to succeed while making a positive impact in the lives of others.
