WATCH: Wrapping up a year of great movies

The film distributor celebrated a year of successful movies at their end of year event in Sandown where guests were treated to food and drinks.

“From our side, thank you once again for helping us through our success this year,” said marketing director, Stefan Rheeder.

He said out of the top five best movies of the year in 2015, United International Pictures had four of their releases in that top five. These movies were Fast and Furious 7, Minions, Jurassic World and 50 Shades of Grey.

Rheeder went on to say that he was excited and looking forward to the movies that United International Pictures would be releasing in 2016 and 2017. For next year, movie fanatics can look out for The Huntsman, starring Chris Hemsworth and Jessica Chastain. Other movies expected to do well at the box office include The Secret Life of Pets, Star Trek Beyond, Warcraft, The Boss and Bridget Jones’s Baby.

In 2017 the sequel to 50 Shades of Grey will be released as well as follow-up films of Terminator, Minions, Despicable Me and Pitch Perfect.
