Black Coffee to rock Mary Fitzgerald Square

JOHANNESBURG – Black Coffee and MetroFM will block off the iconic Mary Fitzgerald Square in Newtown on 12 December for one day of incredible entertainment – the Black Coffee Block Party.

Black Coffee has had an incredible rise to fame that’s seen him travel to almost every corner of the globe. However, he’s stayed true to his roots, even after winning Breakthrough Artist of the Year at the 2015 DJ Awards. Now, he’s bringing a stellar line-up right to the heart of Jozi.

Prepare yourselves as some of South Africa’s biggest house, urban and hip-hop artists recreate the old-school block party energy to end your year off with a bang.

The event will see the likes of Jazzy Jeff, Frankie Knuckles, Paul Van Dyk, Fat Boy Slim and ‘The Big Dawg’ himself, DJ Fresh, share the decks with winner of Song of the Year, Best Collaboration and Best Video at the SA Hip Hop Awards, Cassper Nyovest, and South African Music Award nominee, Da Capo, as well as SPHEctacula and DJ Naves.

It promises to be a one-of-a-kind music experience, as many more artists who will be present on the day have yet to be revealed.

General access – R195

VIP (which includes priority queues, exclusive bars and toilet facilities, a raised deck overlooking the venue, shaded areas and seating) – R450

V-VIP table for 10 (which includes a private fully-catered booth for 10 people (sold as a group), private parking and entrance, premium bottle service and dedicated waiters for the event and access to the Artist Area. V-VIPs also have free food platters delivered throughout the day from an onsite kitchen.) – R25 000.
