VIDEO: Wonder Rhymes keeps his music dream alive

JOBURG - Wonderful Moyo also known as Wonder Rhymes hopes to inspire the community of Alexandra through his music.

Wonderful Moyo, affectionately known as Wonder Rhymes, who lives at the Rasta Village Ext 8 in Alexandra, believes he can help inspire the next generation by telling of his life experiences through music.

Moyo, who earns a living through recycling, said he has faced many challenges that have hampered his musical journey, but he now hopes to resurrect his music career.

“I have always wanted to be a musician from my early years but I never had a good job that could accommodate my music. Now with the money I get from recycling I want to build myself as a musician,” said the hip-hop artist.

Moyo said that with his savings from recycling, his music career is slowly taking shape and he has recorded a CD which is yet to be given a tittle and promoted. The CD was co-produced by Dumisa Nhlapho and was recorded at Chameleon Studios.

The 40-year-old musician said even if his music dream comes true he has no plans of leaving the recycling business. He believes that people need to take care of their environment, regardless of social standing.
