A local 22-year-old singer and music producer is aiming to make waves in international music after helping other artists discover their dreams in the industry.

Eden Michell of Sandton started her musical career at six years old and now has her own label # Sing Project. Her songs have featured on various online stations such as Rocknet and Highvelt, and on Mix FM, 5FM and the Yo-TV programme. She has been producer to one of the up and coming artists, 20-year-old Owen Kay from Soweto whose rap music is making inroads on radio stations through his debut CD Milestone.

Michell is now looking to produce other young artists. “My aim is to first help others before venturing into the international music scene where I want to make it as an artist and producer with a stable of multiple artists,” she said.

Her mentor Christine Paulos said the aim was to help others whose circumstances limited them from achieving their dreams. “Those that she nurtures to stardom are required to commit to helping others in order to make many realise their potential,” said Paulos.

Aspiring artists can contact #Sing Project.
