Performing arts workshop for Alex youth

ALEXANDRA - Delta Choshi, an accomplished choreographer, singer, motivational speaker, Dj and Emcee, will be hosting 'a give back to the community' performing arts workshop at the Eastbank Hall.

Delta Choshi, an accomplished choreographer, singer, motivational speaker, DJ and emcee, will host ‘a give back to the community’ performing arts workshop at the Eastbank Hall.

The workshop will be held on 16 August from 10am to 1pm. “It is my love for children and passion to empower the youth of South Africa which has grown over the years and led me to start these workshops,” Choshi said.

She has successfully hosted five workshops which are aimed at teaching and empowering young people through dance, and motivational speaking.

“I am a two-time world champion as well as a lover of art and enjoy sharing my experience with those who have the passion to pursue their dreams,” she added. Raised in Alexandra, Choshi said it had always been a dream of hers to share with the youth her journey and her inspiration, by hosting these free workshops.

The workshop will be split into two for those between the ages of six to 10, and 11 years and above. Parents are also welcome at the workshop, she said.

The workshop will consist of an hour of dance, a motivational hour and an hour of live performances.

Various artists, DJs and presenters will be on hand to have fun and give back with their talent on the day.

“As I have no financial sponsor, I ask for any assistance to make sure this day is eventful and successful for the youth and children of Alexandra,” Choshi said.
