The big boys of Alex football, Alex Real Madrid (U13) and Malandela Mighty Heroes (U17), have made it to the quarterfinals of the annual Year-End Tournament.
The cup tournament, which is run by the Alexandra Northrand Local Football Association in partnership with the Alexandra Masters Soccer League, marks the end of the season for Alex football.

The last 16 matches of the tournament were played over the weekend and the big guns in the township came out smoking.
Alex Real Madrid’s exciting U13 side posted four goals with no reply against a hapless Black Poison to advance to the quarterfinals while Mighty Heroes’ U17 team also banged in four goals (4–1) against United Stars.
According to the secretary general of the association, Mafika Morajane the quarterfinal games will be played this coming weekend.
