Local road running coaches upskill

Run Alex Athletics Club completed coaching and event officiating courses, empowering them to develop athletes and contribute to the growth of athletics in the community.

The Run Alex Athletics Club is committed to investing in the development of its coaches, recognising the importance of proper training and certification in the growth of its athletes.

As a result, several of the club’s coaches have recently completed courses offered by Central Gauteng Athletics, accredited by Athletics South Africa (ASA).

“We are thrilled to see our coaches completing these courses. Their dedication to their craft is evident in their commitment to ongoing training and development. These courses will undoubtedly enhance their ability to provide high-quality coaching and support to our athletes, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact it will have on our club’s performance.”

Nkosi said the club is pleased to announce that two coaches have completed Level 1 coaching, four coaches have completed Level 1 event officiating, and the other two coaches are currently undergoing training for Level 1 event officiating.
