Alex coach Vincent ‘Young Master’ Rammoni does it again and slays AmaZulu

Alex co-coach of Dondol Stars Vincent 'Young Master' Rammoni says they may have slayed AmaZulu with his coach but they remain humble and will continue to respect whatever opponent they will get come the March 13 draw.

Alex coach Vincent ‘Young Master’ Rammoni of Mamelodi-based side Dondol Stars has done it again and this time he has slayed AmaZulu FC to advance to the Nedbank Cup quarterfinals.

The tense and hard-fought battle for the quarterfinals berth produced a 1–1 scoreline at the end of the 90 minutes and the referee’s option time also failed to produce a different result. The two sides had to settle the battle on penalties and Stars emerged victorious with a 5–4 scoreline prompting celebrations from the Dondol dugout.

The game was initially fixtured for the TUT Stadium in Tshwane but the Premier Soccer League had to quickly move it to the FNB Stadium following the eruption of student protests around the varsity campus.

The Young Master’s outfit, which he co-coaches with Khuliso Rashamuse, came from behind in normal time to level the scoreline 1–1 in the second half after being tied 0–0 at halftime.
AmaZulu’s Pule Ekstein was the first to write his name on the scoreboard in the 53rd minute of the game and Dondol’s Rivaldo Fox levelled the score in the 61st minute.
From there it was game on and both sides tested each other with Dondol having the upper hand but the winner remained elusive.

AmaZulu missed one of their penalties while Young Master’s charges rattled the net with all of theirs.

Dondol will be in the draw for the quarterfinals which will be conducted at SuperSport on March 13.
