‘Young Master’ hoists Alex’s coaching flag high

The Alexandra Northrand Local Football Association has congratulated local coach Vincent ‘Young Master’ Rammoni for his exploits in the Nedbank Cup.

The secretary general of the Alexandra Northrand Local Football Association Malvin Khumalo has expressed the LFA’s congratulations to Dondol Stars’ Alex co-coach Vincent ‘Young Master’ Rammoni for the victory over SuperSport United in the Nedbank Cup.

Young Master’s ABC Motsepe League side walloped coach Gavin Hunt’s DStv Premiership outfit 2-1 in the Nedbank Cup 2023 first round of 32 matches at the Lucas ‘Masterpieces’ Moripe Stadium on February 8.

The giant-slaying victory sparked a frenzy on the pitch by players, technical staff, and supporters who could not hold back their excitement at the unexpected act of David’s slaying of Goliath.

“The LFA is delighted and proud of coach Vincent Ramoni for putting our LFA name on the map by not only advancing to the next level in the Nedbank Cup but also beating a top professional side, SuperSport United under the tutelage of experienced and veteran coach Hunt.

“As the LFA, we hereby congratulate you and are proud of your achievements and coaching prowess and wish many more giant-killing successes throughout the entire tournament,” said Khumalo.

Dondol Stars has been drawn to face AmaZulu in the next round of 16 whose dates and venues are still to be announced by the Premier Soccer League in consultation with sponsors Nedbank.

Other good wishes came from local goalkeeping legend Brian ‘Spiderman’ Baloyi and the likes of Maimane Phiri, Sipho Dlangalala, Patrick Phungwayo, Lebogang Manyama and others.
