LFA chairperson talks tough

ALEXANDRA – The chairperson of the ANLFA threatens to suspend or even expel from the association, clubs whose chairpersons do not attend meetings.

Club chairpersons that fail to attend meetings could find themselves booted out of the Alexandra Northrand Local Football Association (ANLFA) along with their clubs.

This warning was made by the chairperson of the ANLFA, Maisha Molepo who threatened to take tough action against club chairpersons that do not attend meetings of the association.

Molepo has gone further and threatened to expel clubs of those chairpersons who default in attending the meetings. “It has come to our notice that some club chairpersons do not attend these scheduled meetings and there are some that are known to have never attended any such meetings at all.

“If they won’t attend on Tuesday [11 June], as per our constitution we will be forced to consider suspending those clubs from participating in our LFA regardless of whether they have paid membership fees,” Molepo warned.

He was infuriated when a scheduled meeting for last Tuesday [4 June], had to be cancelled because of poor attendance. “It is obligatory for all clubs owners of clubs to attend the meetings without fail.”

The clubs’ chairpersons meeting is scheduled for 11 June at 6pm at the LFA offices at Alexandra Stadium.
