Rangers team on the right track for promotion

ALEXANDRA -– Rangers FC rout Ma-Afrika FC in their ANLFA Promotional League game at the Alexandra Stadium.

Rangers FC exhibited their best football in the Alexandra Northrand Local Football Association (ANLFA) Promotional League when they routed Ma-Afrika FC 4–0.

The first half of this encounter proved to be a damp squib as neither team made a meaningful impact in the match played at the Alexandra Stadium. However, Rangers came back from the break a transformed side and looked determined to put a goal or two past Ma-Afrika.

It was not long before this fluid Rangers team found the back of the net through the boot of Itumeleng Molepo and this opened the floodgates.

Paul Maluleke added Rangers’ second goal followed by a third from Kamogelo Molapisi and Steve Mohale fired in the fourth as the last piece of the puzzle.

Ma-Afrika’s Phillimon Maake was the only player booked for foul play.

Before this match, Rangers occupied sixth position on the log with 17 points from eight games, three points adrift from pacesetters Royal Lions.
