No snags just brags for Tag Foundation

HOUGHTON – The King Edward Old Boys Association took part in the Telkom 947 Cycle Challenge in support of the Tag Foundation.

A team of 70 cyclists cycled in the Telkom 947 Cycle Challenge as part of the King Edward Old Boys Association in support of the Tag Foundation.

The team comprised current learners, the headmaster, David Lovatt, teachers, old boys, wives, parents and girlfriends.

Of the cyclists who took part, 68 cyclists completed the race. The Tag Foundation was started by an old boy, Jonathan Gerber and his wife, Traci. It started off as a small annual shindig for good friends, with an added bonus of raising money for people in need of help.

It has now become a large fundraiser supporting 24 boys and all their educational needs at King Edward VII School in Houghton.

The foundation currently supports 24 Tag boys, as they are affectionately known. All these individuals have grown up with their own challenges and to a large degree have overcome these and are making the most out of their five years at the school.
