Afrika Tikkun seeks riders

ALEXANDRA – Afrika Tikkun wants riders for its cycle challenge on 18 November.

Are you a cyclist keen on entering the Telkom 94.7 Cycle Challenge on 18 November or maybe just want to try out something new for a good cause?

Afrika Tikkun has its own team, Afrika Tikkun Eagles, who is riding for jobs – and they are looking for enthusiastic cyclists to join their team. They are running an exciting campaign where, for every rider who joins the team, one job opportunity will be created.

Afrika Tikkun runs various community upliftment programmes in Alexandra at the Phuthadithaba Centre, areas in Gauteng such as Braamfontein, Diepsloot, and Orange Farm, and Emfuleni in the Cape Flats of the Western Cape.

Entries for the challenge ends on 20 September and Afrika Tikkun urges those who might have a drive for cycling to enter now.

For this year’s event, Afrika Tikkun has a special sporting team ambassador, the SuperSport United midfield maestro Dean Furman. He said he supports Afrika Tikkun because of ‘the real and tangible difference they are making in providing opportunities for some of South Africa’s most vulnerable youth to become productive citizens’.
