Young Master on the rise yet again

ALEXANDRA – One of the township's most talented coaches, Vincent Rammoni, is linked to a move to SAB League outfit, Gauteng FC.

The future looks bright for one of the shining stars in the coaching ranks of Alexandra’s grass-roots football development.

Known as the Young Master, for his outstanding football coaching skills at a tender age, Vincent Rammoni (22) has been linked with a move from the powerful and popular club, Malandela Mighty Heroes to an Alex SAB League side, Gauteng FC.

He was last seen at the game of Gauteng FC and Soweto outfit, Soweto Panthers and also attended their dressing room after a match pep-talk but would not want to confirm whether he was moving to the side’s coaching ranks or not.

“I am not in a position to say anything at this stage. If there’s something to tell, you will be the first one to know,” said the talented coach, who has taken Mighty Heroes from nowhere to the most powerful and feared club in Alex football.

However, a source close to Alex News confirmed the astute young coach, also known as Pep Guardiola, after the Spanish coach of Manchester City in the English League, would soon be moving over to the SAB League, which is a fairy tale club up the coaching ladder for this former KwaBhekilanga Secondary School lad.

“It’s just a matter of time before we announce him as our new coach. There are a few loose ends that need to be tightened and some little hurdles to be overcome, otherwise, he’s our man and the new coach,” the source said.

The Young Master started off as a player and while playing for the former Mpumalanga Black Aces Academy, he broke his leg and decided to switch from player to coach, hence, his coaching career was born.

He started off at Alex Real Madrid, which was the most powerful and popular club then (2010 and before), winning everything and beating almost everyone.

Rammoni realised he was not developing at an already highly popular club and decided to move over to lowly Mighty Heroes and made a name for himself when he turned the fortunes of the club upside down.

His talent was also noticed by another Alex outfit, ABC Motsepe League side Alex United, who recently appointed him to the technical staff as a match analyst, a position he still holds, as well.

Gauteng FC is on the market for a new coach after it fired Midrand-based Andile Phama after a brief stint following a string of losses. Club director, Sihle ‘uMapholoba’ Ngcobo temporarily took over the coaching reigns.
